How to use the Configured Buffer of NG-Trace?
We assum that you have correctly installed NG-Trace and the Fbox library
according to this instuction: www.engiby.ch/ngtrace/ngtrdnld.htm.
1 - Create a new file in the CPU in your project and select the type '
NG-Trace '.
When opening the file, NG-Trace will start.
2 – Got to the ‘Configured Buffer’ tab. Select ‘Buffer enabled’. Specify
a start register (a single free register) and a number of records (up to 100
for the freeware version).
3 - In the Record configuration, add and configure one new column per
value to trace.
(up to 3 columns for the freeware version)
4 – In the Setings tab, select the option 'Connect to configured buffer'.
Save the settings.
5 – In the Configured buffer tab, click 'Compile'.
6 - Build and run your program as usual in the PG5 Project Manager.
7 - Go online with the PG5 Project Manager.
8 - In the View tab of the NG-Trace, press the Connect and the Start
buttons.
The named columns apears and the events are recorded. If the options are
checked, the PC Date, PC Time and PCD status are added.
